Coffee grinders to make chutney?

I was wondering will it be a good idea to use coffee grinders available in US to make small quantity of chutneys. I have heard many people vouch for it. Any inputs. If so which is the best one. Thanks in advance.
I meant mainly making cocunut chutneys like south indians.can it be done. i dont need to make much. also i tried blenders and processors .didnt like the result.
